Me and my friend are starting erasmus semester abroad in France, Paris. We are going to be staying in an Airbnb

Do you have any helpful tips/ suggestions for us? Any apps that would help out, what areas/places to stay away from? Maybe some suggestions of places to travel from here to make this experience even better? Also wondering if tap water is drinkable there?
