Hi Reddit — I’m Ian Williams, an entomologist with Orkin, and I’m here to help separate pest facts from fiction.
I have a master’s degree in entomology and 17 years of experience managing arthropod and vertebrate pests. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide range of common household pest issues, and I’ve seen firsthand just how many myths, half-truths, and outdated “tips” still circulate when it comes to bugs, rodents, and pest prevention.
On Thursday, July 23 at 2 PM EDT, I’ll be here to debunk some of the biggest pest myths and answer your questions about what’s true, what’s exaggerated, and what people usually get wrong.
