Life jacket for Senior Great Dane trying to do at home hydrotherapy basically!

Hi Reddit! Looking for a life jacket for my 9-year-old Great Dane (160 lbs, chest girth around 38”). He has a spinal issue and both ACLs partially torn, and our vet recommended swimming to help maintain and rebuild muscle strength.

He loves lakes and rivers but gets nervous in pools. One major thing I need is a life jacket with REAL support handles, not just a small top handle. I need something supportive around the chest and waist so I can safely help lift/support him in and out of the water if needed.

We tried an Outward Hound jacket on his sister before, and even with handles it wasn’t supportive enough to actually help lift a giant breed dog. It basically just ran up her armpits and would slip off her head.

I’d also love something that helps keep his head/chin above water, but that’s the least important feature just the other things I mentioned please.

Does anyone with giant breeds, senior dogs, mobility issues, rehab dogs, etc. have recommendations? Especially from people with Great Danes or other extra-large dogs.
Thank you so much!

Help! Norman needs 5k surgery

Hi, I’m 15yrs old female, and I have two 9yrs Great Danes one of them is Norman who needs a surgery for 4-6k to remove 4 skin tumors. Does anybody have idea of how I can make money preferably in 3 months or less. My parents can cover some of it, but I need to cover at least 70% of it. Thank you so much Norman joon is my baby and I really need to have this surgery before he gets older and isn’t a candidate for anesthesia. I homeschool and I’m very shy too. Please nothing that is jokes or inappropriate I’m really serious and deeply love my doggies! Thank you so much!

Dog won't eat?

I have two 9 year old great danes, they are twins I've had them since they were young pups. Names are Beauty 9f and Norman 9m. They thankfully are really healthy, but this year I've noticed they wont eat breakfast, if I put their bowl on their bed they get up, and if I put their bowl in their stand feeder they go and lay down. I would be more worried if it was just on of the dogs, but both of them are doing it. They eat breakfast at 12:00pm and dinner at about 7:30pm. They always gobble down dinner even when its the same exact food from the morning. They eat purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach because Norman is allergic to chicken. It's wet food with kibble and even if I put eggs, pumpkin, or yogurt they won't eat in morning. It could be because its been really hot and it cools down around dinner time. This never happened last year or any of the 9years we've had them.

History

Beauty no surgeries except spay.

Norman neutered, 1 toe amputation and 1 surgery for removal of 4 cutaneous hemangiosarcomas. Has two ccl tears in back legs and is allergic to chicken.

MEDS:

Beauty: NONE

Norman: Dasquin and 600mg gabapentin every 24hours at 7:30pm

If anybody has an advice pls let me know! Also I'm 15yr dog mom so pls be nice!
