Scam near vit pune
So recently something happened to me in Bibwewadi near ProFitness Gym ATM. A random guy said he needed cash because his mom was in the ICU and he urgently needed money for medicines or some medical form, idk. He was saying it in a very convincing way. He said he would send me the money online. I told him I didn’t have cash, then he said just scan the QR code because he didn’t have his phone.
He was making a phone call to send me money, but I really don’t know what was happening on the call. I scanned the QR code considering it was an emergency, but my transaction failed. Then he said he would send it to his mobile number he gave atm. I sent ₹200 to his number.
He was asking for ₹300, but I said I only had ₹200. Man, my account balance was only ₹300 at that time 😭 I had to leave urgently, so he said “send the QR on the number, you’ll get the money,” and kept saying thanks and doing the sympathy type shit.
Later, the number he was calling from was switched off, and the number where the money got transferred was also switched off. His ATM also “didn’t give him money.”
I got scammed for ₹200. Be aware of this thing.
