Effective knife blade length?

In my country, in order to qualify as a "cold weapon", the blade length of a knife must be more than 90 mm. I'm pretty sure that a 90 mm blade won't be effective in a self-defense scenario, against a fairly muscular/fat dude. What kind of blade length is guaranteed to incapacitate? If you're jumped at by an attacker and the only thing accessible is your knife, you wouldn't want to lightly graze the fat and muscle tissue, would you? If your opponent is under influence of substances or just a violent kind of schizo, that kind of damage won't stop him for a pretty long while, and that's not the kind of risk you want to take when it comes to self-defense. Sorry if my post violates the rules.

A special kind of belt for kicking ass

I need a belt for self-defense. I know this might sound weird to a layman, but I live in a third world country, in a dangerous kind of city where you can get in trouble just by walking into someone else's district. I will purchase a good can of pepper spray but you can never be overprapered in places like this. So, the belt for this purpose must conform to the following criteria:

* It must be durable (so, preferably made from leather and steel)

* The belt buckle must be big and as heavy, as possible

* The locking mechanism must allow to unbuckle the belt FAST!

* It must be affordable (60 bucks tops).

Sony WH-1000XM6 sudden loss of loudness

So, me and my co-worker purchased Sony WH-1000XM6. While he takes a good care of his, I take mine to work, use them during daily work-home commute and take them to business trips, so mine don't look as pristine as his and have a little bit of magnetic dust accumulated on top of the drivers. During my latest business trip a week or so ago I noticed that after a night in the drawer, my headphones sound noticeably quieter at the same volume level (85 dB). When I got back at my workplace, I used my co-workers headphones as reference by connecting them to my phone and his sound like 20% louder. Also, the Sony app shows software ver. 3.0.0 for both headphones but upon connecting the reference pair, it suggested to update them, because there's new software version available. Could it be that my headphones updated overnight and that's what caused them to sound inferior?
