Heyla and good morning!

So I created two things that I thought people in SL would enjoy: A short Quest and a QuestMaker's Edition of that Quest.

The Story

You go to an interdimensional university that seems to live up to its name and teaches all trades. Your major is mental health. As part of the internship phase of your studies, you've been assigned to work in a particular universe, on a particular Earth, in a particular country, in a particular city, and at a particular clinic. It seems like any other day at the clinic until you discover that you have a new client, and her inner demons may not be quite so internal, after all.

You're suddenly glad that The School Of All Trades (TSOAT) insists that all its students learn combat skills, because you're going to need them to help your client!

The Quest

The Quest itself is a short adventure. It requires the use of my The School Of All Trades (TSOAT) RP System HUD and a TSOAT-compatible weapon, both of which can be obtained for free in-world. On the Marketplace, the RP System is 1L$, while the weapon (a butcher knife) is still free.

There are 5 levels to this quest: The Prologue, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and The Epilogue. The Quest is designed to be rezzed, one level at a time, on a 512 plot of land that measures out to at least roughly 31.6 x 15.5 meters. There's a cleanup HUD included for each level of the quest, allowing you to quickly clean up and move on to the next level. Make sure that you have at least 60 land impact available to play this quest!

The QuestMaker's Edition

The QuestMaker's Edition of this Quest includes the Quest as an example to study, and the scripts (copy/transfer) that you need to make quests of your own. When you make your quests, you'll be able to either sell them, like I've sold mine, or give them away for free if you're feeling generous.

With the QuestMaker's Kit, you'll be able to accomplish the following:

--Set up NPCs that tell a story and have quest objectives for the Player to complete

--Set up quest objects that the player must find and click on to complete the quest objectives

--Set up the quest so that the Player has to successfully perform a difficulty check (DC) with a Skill in order to advance the quest (requires the player to have and use the TSOAT RP System HUD)

--Set up quest NPC MoBs (Mobile Objects) that the player can battle with and defeat to advance an objective (requires the Player to have and use the TSOAT RP System HUD)

--Set up the NPC MoB so that it has the option to drop an item of any type upon death

--Reward the Player with Fate Points (requires the Player to have and use the TSOAT RP System HUD) and special items (does NOT require anything) for completing a quest

As the name implies, this Quest System is meant to work with The School Of All Trades (TSOAT) RP System. However, if you leave out combat, DCs,, and rewarding your Player with Fate Ponts, you can make a quest completely independent of the TSOAT RP System! It'll be entirely story driven, but still fun to play!
