Need help and advice from you kind people
So Ive been ripping a bunch of my 4k disks to MKVs using a modded LG drive. Perfect results without issue. They all play great on my PC. The problem is that when I go play them through my jellyfin app on my TV , 75% direct play without issue or transcoding. But I keep getting the occasional ' The audio is being trans coded because its incompatible' OR " The video bitrate exceeds blah blah blah and mustbe transcoded".
Whats weird is that the transcoded mkv's are no different thn the ones that direct play. Same size, same audio streams.
Examples: John Wick 4 has the incompatible audio stream, but Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny does not and direct streams. All the Star Wars movies 4K direct stream but my Star Trek TMP 4K ends up transcoding the audio.
The Direct Stream plays flawless. The transcoding stuff freezes.
Any ideas what may be happening?
