How stupid am I for considering enlisting upon graduation with a bachelors degree?

Greetings all, as a preface I’d like to mention I am about to go into my Junior year of college (3.62 GPA). I’m majoring in Political Science with a minor in Economics, and a certificate in National Security & Intelligence.

I am currently thinking about enlisting after graduation in May 28’ with aspirations to eventually become a federal law enforcement agent (with any agency honestly, idc.). This is all banking on the fact that I don’t get a job offer relatively soon post graduation, and I know it will be a huge leg up having prior military experience as well. Hell, I could even try to achieve a masters while in the service.

With that being said, and with in mind my goals of eventual FLEO service, I am wondering what job would look good for this career. Thinking about SF/MP/Master-at-arms kinda route, depending on what branch I settle on.

If anyone has taken a similar route or are in the situation as me, I would love to hear opinions from others. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I want to join the military and gain experience upon graduating college

Greetings all, as a bit of a preface I will be graduating in May of 28’ with a degree in Poli Sci and a minor in Economics, as well as a certificate in National Security and Intelligence.

I wish to eventually pursue a career in Federal law enforcement as some sort of special agent or intelligence analyst, I would really be fine with anything. Although I know most agencies require practical experience. (I’m an extremely fit and intelligent person currently with a 3.8 GPA)

I feel lost when hearing from others about how “useless” a Political Science degree is and I’m not sure where I could start to have a solid background foundation. Would it be better to go guard as well as a civilian career as a police officer/firefighter? Enlist/apply for OCS? Try and go for an agency straight after graduation under the DoD, DOJ, DHS?

Any insight, suggestions, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
