Is this a fair carpet quote?
first time home buyer and trying to assess if this is a fair quote - 3 bedrooms & 3 sets of stairs need to be recarpeted but labor charge seems higher than expected. located in San Diego, thank you in advance!

currently 18 weeks pregnant, my husband & I are super excited and have told our families but for some reason I just don’t feel like going around and telling my friends I’m pregnant haha
my preference would be to just tell people in person but we recently moved to a new city so I am not seeing any of my friends in person, all of this would be virtual. we also aren’t big social media people and I really don’t feel like making a broad announcement. I’m also one of the first of my friends to have a kid, so that might be playing into it - I’ve told all my friends who already have kids
my husband has told most of his friends but he has like 3 groupchats with all of his friends, whereas all of my friends are separate and I feel weird like texting/calling them one by one like “hey guess what!”
to add onto it too, it was just my birthday a couple days ago and probably only like half of my close friends texted me (not super unusual for a summer bday) but I feel like that would’ve been a good time to share the news but now I’m like feeling even weirder about texting them first.
idk, this feels honestly so silly but do I have to tell people I’m pregnant? or just like whenever I see them next I’m like “oh ya! btw I had a baby 4 months ago…surprise!”
looking for advice on neighborhoods!!! my husband (31M) and I (31F) recently moved to San Diego from LA and are now looking to buy our first home as we’re pregnant with our first child!
found some really great options in our budget in both Rancho Penasquitos and Del Sur and I’m wondering the pros & cons of each, and where would be better for a young family. we don’t have any friends or family in San Diego so would love to move somewhere with a welcoming community and ideally where other young families are!
Del Sur seems to have higher HOAs and Mello-Roos but wondering if that’s “worth it” thanks in advance!!!
