With the engine being a Toyota derived diesel engine for the MINI from years 2003-2006, are these miles ahead of the reported reliability issues of the petrol MINI's of the era, or are they not worth the effort to seek out ?

If they are close to as reliable as a Toyota Yaris diesel, should they be worth more than they are right now in Ireland ?

Knowledge from owners of this exact model, or mechanics who have maintained them would be appreciated.

China's first 'mid-engined' sports car will reach the UK in April 2027 under the billing of "the car Lotus should have built".

The Lancia Stratos-inspired SC-01 is built on a dedicated spaceframe chassis with the battery mounted behind the two seats and an electric motor on each axle.

Already on sale in China (where it's part of EV maker JMEV's line-up and named the Yichi 01) and some other global markets, including Italy, it will now be made in right-hand drive, with prices starting from around £50,000.
