new air fryer at work, lunch time options?

My work place just bought an air fryer for staff to use, I have never used one so am wondering what sort of lunchtime things I might do with it. Any thoughts?

Seen in the Manzano Mountains

Took a drive in the Manzanos, got a few nice shots. Sometimes the landscape isn’t conducive to landscape photos even if it is beautiful and grand, so then I turn to trying to focus on the details, sort of seeing the trees instead of the forest. For anyone interested, these were all taken on the Forest Service road past 4th of July Campground, and is not for the faint of heart, very rough, unmaintained, few places to turn around and no cell service - I’m not even sure i should have been there in my front-wheel drive pickup. Beautiful if you can get there, just use some caution.

A couple of birds from my weekend

Encountered these during a wander in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico, high elevation meadows and wetlands, and an abundance of wildflowers really made them happy. First set is a Pine Siskin, the next is a (black-chinned) hummingbird i believe. Equipment includes a Sony a6700 and Tamron 150-500.

A stroll in the Jemez Mountains near Fenton Lake

I escaped the heat of Albuquerque over the weekend, drove up to the Fenton Lake area, wandering, a lot of stopping and gawking, and taking some pictures. The 80 degrees was welcome as were the scenery, wildflowers, wildlife, birds. Just an amazingly beautiful place.

I was out wandering this weekend in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico and was thinking i was looking at black-eyed Susan’s but am realizing that isn’t right. I am wondering if these are Parry’s Nodding Sunflower and/or something else altogether.

contemporary conservation reading

I want to get my son (early 20s) some material to read on the topic of conservation which they've expressed an interest in. For an upcoming birthday I want to give them some books, I'm thinking some classic literature like Sand County Almanac, Cadillac Desert, even something lighter like Edward Abbey's Monkey Wrench Gang, but I'd like to get them something that is more contemporary that may help show how the thinking in this arena has evolved over the years. Suggestions are most welcome!

full size spare

Have a tire that can't be repaired because of a sidewall puncture/leak and so the tire store guys replaced it with the OEM spare and then couldn't get the full size tire to mount where the spare is kept. Is this just them not doing it right, or can a full size spare not fit underneath?

helmet question

I've got a helmet that was hung in a place where it wasn't shielded from weather and especially sunlight, the coloring has faded significantly, I'm wondering if that could have degraded the plastic and thus decreased its safety. Any thoughts?

I currently have panniers that connect to my rack using velcro straps. These work great but they are a pain to to remove and install, so I am looking for alternatives that are more of a "quick release" solution. Currently I'm looking at the Ortlieb Gravel Pack or Sport-Roller panniers, anyone have experience with these or favor a different piece of gear?
