I need help

This is going to be tmi but here goes. I am having some constipation issues and it’s making me feel my bladder. I think it’s called nocturia but when I go to bed, I am awakened by the uncomfortable sensation of my bladder. Apparently, my colon, which is full of poop, is pressing against my bladder. I sent my doctors a message today but was wondering what you guys know about this. This is due to the liquid iron I am taking every other day. What advice can you guys give me? Especially if you’ve experienced this yourself.

Why Nuns wear habits?

I got this from a Franciscan Order website but I also heard Sister Maria Goretti (a Carmelite) echo the same sentiments. I only post this because just a few minutes ago I was reading something on Reddit about why some Nuns don’t wear their habits and basically people were saying “it’s because Nuns typically wear the garb of their time period…in solidarity with the poor etc”. Apparently that isn’t fully true. I’m actually not sure what the answer is because now I’m confused. But I wanted to share this.

”Why do Sisters wear a habit (a special dress)?

The habit is an outward sign of an inward consecration to God, and identifies us as members of a particular religious order in the Church.  The habit and veil are, in a sense, our wedding garments, since we are signs of the Church as “Bride” of Christ.  The religious garb is a sign that one is ‘set apart’ by God as a consecrated or holy offering to God for the salvation of all humankind.

Like a public uniform that identifies one as a policeman or nurse, so our religious garb publically identifies us as servants of the Gospel, welcoming others to approach us for aid, prayer and service of their spiritual and temporal needs.  Our dress reminds us and others that we are sisters to all, for we are all one family under God, the Father and Creator of all.  We seek always to give glory to God by our manner of acting and by our dress, so as to be signs of God’s living presence in the world.

Our habits and veils are made in the motherhouse convent. We are assisted in this work by an employee and volunteer.“

Are we not supposed to use AI

Hello,

I have been Catholic for two years now. I have come on here for numerous questions and to be honest I heavily dislike using subs for my questions. AI is so much easier, though at times I have to just google my questions.

I use AI because I see my spiritual director once a month. My local parish has one priest, and he is always busy. In the past and even currently, he allows me to go and ask him spiritual questions during confession/adoration. At that time, he hears confession for two to three hours, and of course, sometimes there's a lull. Even if there wasn't, he still lets me ask him my questions.

Here's the thing: I'm not an anxious person, but in the past if I had a question, I felt the need to ask and get answers right away.

Are we not supposed to do that? Are we supposed to sit with these questions and wrestle with them? Does that make us stronger/wiser? In the past, if I didn't have a question answered, it meant I had no peace of mind to pray. I can see now that I have been making a grave mistake in my spiritual life. Just typing this out, I see that I have been seeking answers like popcorn or fast food, and it may be hurting my formation.

What do you ladies think? AI has acted as a resource. My last question was on the gift of piety. How to go about asking for it. And how the saints got it. I get really good answers that I don't think most people would give.

I was going to ask my local priest, but confession was only 30 minutes today, and I was the last one to be seen. He said I could speak to him tomorrow, and I will.
