What are the odds / Anyone else?
Im just wondering if there are any other transgender peeps who work in the security / public safety field that have had issues finding work since the big orange took office?
Its probably a dumb question to ask but for validity's sake I have had absolutely no luck finding work in Ohio. My resume is STACKED with private security experience for years, and employers love my resume, but then when they see or hear me its not a good fit anymore 🙃
Ive tried jobs with no experience necessary and even smaller gigs with NO luck. I either "dont fit qualifications for what the company is searching for" or "should pick something more along my experience".
Btw - transman here 20 months on HRT post emergency hysterectomy and just missed the window of opportunity for top surgery assistance with insurance by a literal month last year 😮💨
Thanks in advance for any responses, Im feeling whiplash but also not surprised by any of this considering the political climate.
