Defeated. I got DQ due to “suicidal attempt” on my record. It was from 2023.
In the doctor’s notes they state “I am unsure if this was a SA.” Regardless, I’ve already filled out the forms and spoken to the hospital to amend my record.
Should I wait it out and see if I can get a waiver once it’s amended, or would I have better luck with the Navy or Army?
If you were given this & told to go tomorrow (Tuesday) would you take this to mean you show up to MEPS at 5:00 or 8:30am? I’ve already taken the PiCat. I’m just needing to take the verification. I was originally told i may just take the verification or I may do that and process same day.
Waiting on my recruiter to respond to my questions and getting a little anxious. It’s now 5 pm where I am.

My recruiter let me know I’ll be going to MEPS tomorrow, about 20 minutes away from where I live.
She explained two possibilities. One being I’d solely be taking the verification, possibly still having to stay at a hotel, and everything else the following day. If not, I’d get there at 5:45am and do everything the same day.
Is this a case by case basis? I’ve heard verification tests only take 20-30 minutes so confused why it would be split into two days.
Still waiting to hear back regarding what time I’m supposed to go, just looking for others experiences.
Any feedback on my list? My goal was something that would translate well in the civilian world. I scored a 99 & available for most jobs, but I wasn’t feeling confident about cyber/intel like most suggested.
Requirement was 5 from high priority.
I scored relatively low on M & E, but high enough for most jobs in Admin & General. Any careers worth looking into? I’d like one with decent civilian transferability. Pay and hours will be important to me once I’m out.
Im well with attention to detail, numbers, data, and
research but open to anything medical as well.

Is it mandatory that you list 10-20 high vacancy jobs & 10 you’d want? & is it true you’re only able to wait in DEP’s for 30-45 days?
I have a pretty decent list of jobs I’m interested in but they’re not high vacancy. Such as materiel management, medical materiel, vehicle management, personnel/admin, health services management, etc. My goal is to pursue a degree in Logistics or Health Services while in. Would it be possible to wait on any of those to open?
So I’m aware all logistics, anything under admin & management such as materiel/vehicle management are filled right now.
Would I still be able to go to BMT under open general or open admin and be guaranteed something in said category?
