In June, the council tried to investigate the processes that allowed this to happen and check if changes were implemented to prevent it from happening again. The Head of purchasing lost her shit and called herself a victim. Walker kicked her out to silence her. And Timmins gaslit.

Does anyone remember "we don't need a whistleblower hot line because the systems we have are great"? Or "we don't have to change things because the only reason Clasby was able to embezzle for so long was because he manipulated people"?

In 2023, Quincy's Catholic mayor commissioned two, 10 ft bronze statues of saints, hid it from the public, got caught, got sued, and is now trying to pretend the saints are police and fire heritage - not religious - and should be allowed up. Becket Fund (a law firm that defends religious freedoms) is representing the city. How can the mayor say the saints are not saints and just protection? The protection comes from belief in their patron sainthood aka religion.

One of his sons is a firefighter, the other a police officer, and his nephew is the president of the firefighter's union. And now he wants to continue the fight and says it's not over yet.
