I had already made a toko redesign, I just tweaked it a bit and made a udg version so here we are.

Notes:

Toko has healed shoes in the udg game, I got rid of those, replacing them with boots. Syo could definitely run around in heels fine, but not toko 💀

I have alot more notes on my original toko redesign which I did post here so you can look at that if you want, I ain't re-typing all that

Design notes:

I usually hate changing hair in my redesigns, but I decided to make hers longer cause shes been imprisoned for 18 months so it'd grow out. I also made it a lighter brown to look more like Makotos.

Gave her boots, she found em or something. I'd imagine it because pretty uncomfortable running around in those dress shoes.

Kept her school uniform, i just roughed it up quiet a bit. Makes her look like shes actually in a post apocalyptic world. The school uniform does a good job in making her look like a "normal high school girl"

Gave her some injuries. In my ideal world after each chapter her appearance would get more and more roughed up.

Finally gave her a scavaged jacket for the underground parts. Its green to once again match her brother, but if you wanna get deep, green symbolizes harmony and shes bringing harmony by defeating the children and bringing peace to towa city.

I've been replaying THH recently and it got me thinking, syo and fukawas relationship with eachother would be alot more intresting if Syo disliked byakuya. I think the two's relationship with one another wasnt that well explored in either THH and especially UDG. I think that their differing opinion on byakuya would of done a good job in showing that the 2 personalities could have different opinions from one another. For the most part we don't really see the two of them disagreeing with one another on anything. Obviously toko doesnt like that syo murders but thats about it. They also throw insults at each other here, and there, but that's not really disagreement. We know they share emotions, so i think that syo seeing byakuya as an objectively attractive male like you would a model instead of also being in love with him would have worked. I think the two harboring different opinions about byakuya would of made her a bit of a more realistic DID representation, because oftentimes altars don't share opinions. And its pretty obvious that Syo was formed as a protective alter so her disliking the man that constantly belittles toko would make sense. Syo and toko already lean into such harmful stereotypes that I don't know if this would have helped all that much, but it still would have been a lot more interesting to see.

Design Notes:

Toko was going for a dark academia aesthetic but kinda just ended up looking like a wet cat.

Increased height from 164 cm (5'4) to 172 cm (5'8) gives toko a more gangley look and Syo intimating height.

Syo's red eyes are just a visual change for the audience to help differentiate the two. They don't actually change colors.

Teeth are yellow and crooked (mom's never got her braces:[ )

Japanese and American mixed. (Mom is american and dad is Japanese)
