A woman at the store kept asking me where everything was

I was at a home improvement store on my lunch break, wearing jeans and a plain jacket, just looking at paint supplies. A woman walked up to me and asked where she could find a particular type of tape.

I assumed she had mistaken me for an employee, so I smiled and told her I didn't work there.

She laughed and said, “Oh, sorry, you just looked like you knew what you were doing.”

A few minutes later, she came back and asked me another question.

I reminded her that I really didn't work there. She looked embarrassed, apologized, and walked away.

The funny part was that about ten minutes later, another customer stopped me and asked where the light bulbs were.

At that point I just started wondering what exactly I was wearing that day that made everyone think I worked there.
