Magnifica Plus - 6 months and no descale alert?

I got a Magnifica Plus about 6 months ago. My water tested level 2. I make 2 coffees/day and change the filter every 2 months. So far, after 6 months, I've never received a descale alert on the machine. Is this normal considering my water hardness and only making 2 coffees/day? The coffees taste great - should I descale anyway, however?

Contact Paper or Film Covering Stone Fireplace?

https://preview.redd.it/ngmbq174fq3h1.jpg?width=1937&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b26eb8a7a9f2fda482cf21a3af8d5c474a3fcb07

I own a rental home that had a beautiful gray sandstone fireplace surround and mantle. I had a tenant that without permission, seemed to cover everything and everywhere with contact paper! The fireplace is unused due to safety reasons and strictly decorative now. The tenant apparently applied some sort of contact paper or film over the rough-cut stone to change the color. It follows the contours of the stone amazingly well! However, that tenant is out and long-gone and I have redecorated the house and would like to uncover the fireplace to reveal the original gray sandstone. This covering material looks like it will peel off easily, but I'm afraid to pull it until I know exactly what it is and where you purchase it. The reason is that if I remove the covering and find there's some sort of hidden damage/discoloration to the stone and the tenant had covered it to hide the damage, then I might need to cover it back up again but I wouldn't want to have to resort to paint, etc. Anybody know what this stuff is and where you purchase it? Also, I gave a test pull on an edge in an inconspicuous place and it feels like it will come off easily, but just in case, any tips for removal in case I'm wrong? Thanks!
