Has anyone cancelled a transfer that has already left Wealth Simple to TD Easy Trade without issues?

If there are issues, what were they?

So I initiated a transfer from Wealth Simple to TD Easy trade for the 2% promotion. Literally, the following day, they have the 3% promo for two yrs. Yes, I know 1.5% APR but the math still works out better for me.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has successfully cancelled a transfer that is on its way already to Easy Trade? Easy Trade Rep says I have to go to a TD branch and submit a LOI instructing them to cancel the transfer and waiving them of any issues from the cancellation. That letter needs to be faxed from the branch to TD Warehouse. I then need to call TD Easy trade back to initiate the cancellation of the transfer.

My fear is that somehow something would happen and my funds just get stuck in limbo somehow.

Does anyone have any issues?

I was just on the phone with a TD easy trade Rep and when I asked her to help transfer funds in kind from Wealth Simple to TD Easy trade, she said that it is not possible and that Wealth Simple will sell my stocks/etf and transfer as cash. She recommended that I transfer to TD direct instead.

Can anyone please clarify this?

I'm looking to transfer some funds from Wealth Simple to TD direct investing for the 2% promo and have until July 31st for the funds to get to TD. Just wondering how long it usually takes from initiating the transfer and it arriving at TD as I only have a month to do so.

I registered for the 3% match and made a bunch of transfers within the qualifying period. Checked the status of the total qualified amount and all seems good until today. When I checked today, the amount somehow dropped by over 200k although the transactions that qualified remain correct and when added up, is well over what it indicates as the total that qualified.

I have requested them to investigate and they will get back to me.

Has anyone else had a discrepancy in that the amount qualified dropped?
