I have a domestic short hair and recently she has picked up i think is to be semi aggressive behavior? She gets fed in the kitchen that is closed off with a baby gate (comes with a cat door. Pretty cool) the gate is installed to keep my toddler from eating (yes eating) the cats food. She goes crazy over wet cat food but primarily eats hard food. She will get wet cat food 2x a day.

It has become a MAJOR issue with me even going into the kitchen. She will come running and kinda like trying to climb up my legs. I can tell shes trying not to use her claws but I can still feel them.

This morning as I was running water to wash my hands and she did the leg climb thing and when I ignored her she BIT my leg! She onky does this in the kitchen which im pretty sure is the issue since shes linked the kitchen to her food but how do I discipline this behavior? Im a 1st time cat owner and have been a mom for 5 years. And I will not be having one of my babies biting me in the kitchen 🤣
