I wish I could understand how insurance works.

All of a sudden I'm not getting a renewal call from my Kesimpta. I finally get ahold of the pharmacy I'd been using (forced to use) and they say another company I've never heard of, Valero, never got the refill request.

Check the doctors office and they don't have the new insurance on file. Even though they've been my supplier for 7 months.... I can only pick my old pharmacy for a refill.

I call the doctor's office and let them know, they said they'd send it to Valero. Just now I get an email from Walgreens, owner of my specialty pharmacy, that it was rejected because of insurance. Yes, because insurance has to go through Walgreen's specialty pharmacy and not the local store.

All after 7 months of no problems with the new system. I think I'll send one final note to my neurologist saying "Figure it out." and be done with it.

ADHD kills 4 months of work.

I was really setting myself up for a win, until I wasn't.

In an effort to actually accomplish something, I started a sizable garden this year. Some good crops, some bad, but a nice distraction. For the past 4 months I've been going nuts caring for this garden and my first tomato harvest finally came.

Have the day off so I find a classic tomato sauce recipe online. I had onion from my garden too so I'm shoulder to shoulder with Gordon himself and loving life making this sauce, relishing in this momentary new found mental-positivity and sense of accomplishment. Long simmer time so I'm playing video games and checking it every couple minutes. until I lost my grip on "a couple minutes" and then I smell something burning.

For fucks sake man.

I just had a pretty scary day. Went out on a hike, quite difficult but something I should be able to at least get through. After a couple miles in, my stomach started to hurt. After another mile, I had vomited everything in my stomach and was continuously trying to find more. The only way out was through 2 more miles and I barely made it with help.

After hours of thinking about what could have happened, I came to the realization one of my medications (One for a GI issue) acted by drastically raising the ph of my stomach. The only water I had was Alkaline Smartwater specifically advertised as high ph. I'd had it before casually and its all that was at the store. Pretty sure I screwed my gut ph so bad I had something like hypochlorhydria.

My GI doctor never told me about this drug effect and the medication has been working so I really didn't research it much. I'm typically hiking alone and on more remote trails so this was a bit eye opening for me.

Make sure you double check all the different things we're all taking, its easy to get lost in all of it!
