This is an excellent article by President Harrison. As someone who’s more in the middle on this issue, I found it quite refreshing. I loved the quote from Luther:

“everything in the mass up to the Creed is ours, free and not prescribed by God” [AE 53:25]

I’m usually loathe to bring this topic up, but I feel Harrison is providing a small, but real opportunity for some healing and reconciliation.

Hi all. Been shooting casually for about 15 years but just getting into long range. I ordered a Howa M1500 in 6.5 Creedmoor with the Hogue stock and 24" bull barrel after reading u/Trollygag's and u/LockyBalboaPrime's guides for newbies and shopping around for a bit.

I read the pinned post and perused the links in the wiki and couldn't seem to find an answer to this question.

I'm looking to buy the SWFA SS 12x42 MQ gen 2 for my optic, but I'm a little confused as to whether or not I need a canted base. Or rather, could someone explain to me why one optic might be good with a canted base and another might not? Is it to do with MOA vs Mil scopes?
