Looking for that special someone (40MW)
Hey everyone 👋
So I thought I'd put myself out there and see what happens.
I'm a 40-year-old guy from Cape Town, born and raised. I've never really had a proper long-term serious relationship — a few situationships along the way, but nothing that turned into the real thing. No kids and no crazy exes lurking in the background either 😂
I work as a technician in the oil and gas industry, although recently my job has moved more towards a factory/office management role.
I'm about 1.8m tall, fairly slender... although I've started developing a small 40-year-old belly, so there's that 😂
I'm a bit of a mixture when it comes to what I enjoy. I'm a gamer and definitely a bit of a nerd at heart — I love Pokémon, board games and card games. But I also really enjoy getting outdoors, hiking, camping, exploring new places and just being out in nature. I'm a big animal lover too.
I'm also someone who can happily spend an evening watching a good documentary, and recently I've gotten back into reading again, which I'm really enjoying.
I'm a 420 enthusiast and pretty relaxed about it, but I'm not much of a drinker. Alcohol has just never really been my thing.
As for why I'm here, I'd genuinely like to meet someone to share life with. Someone relaxed, down to earth, kind, and just a nice person to be around. Someone I can laugh with, go exploring with, have lazy days with, talk nonsense with and eventually build something meaningful with.
I don't really have a long checklist of what someone needs to be. I'd rather meet someone, get to know each other and see if there's a connection.
