I’ve been craving a proper pork pie for a while now and whilst they were two a penny up home in the north in independent butchers and bakeries I can’t really find anything that’s cutting the mustard down here.

Looking for something with a good layer of jelly, pink soft meat and crisp pastry. Everything from the supermarket has that claggy soft pastry. Haven’t found anything in any independent bakeries; pork pies don’t fit the sourdough aesthetic.
