Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain user guides, technical manuals, API documentation, release notes, and knowledge-base articles.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, IT, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
• Document API-driven workflows and business processes within the open banking/open finance ecosystem.
• Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Confluence, JSON, and YAML.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Technical Writing experience.
• Experience documenting APIs and software products.
• Strong knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Confluence, JSON, and YAML.
• Experience working with Agile teams.

Hiring: (WAF) Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Web Application Firewall (WAF) Engineer to support enterprise web security infrastructure. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting Web Application Firewalls, particularly Akamai Kona, along with a solid understanding of web security and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of enterprise Web Application Firewalls.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Akamai Kona WAF environments.
• Assist with WAF policy tuning, rule updates, and incident resolution.
• Analyze logs and security events to identify application security issues.
• Perform routine health checks and system monitoring.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve WAF-related issues.
• Document configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
• Participate in security projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience supporting Web Application Firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with Akamai Kona (administration or operations).
• Basic knowledge of F5 ASM/AWAF is preferred.
• Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, and Layer 7 networking.
• Experience troubleshooting web applications using logs and packet captures.
• Familiarity with CLI and basic networking tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Salt Security API Protection.
• Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting.
• Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments.

Location Requirement

This is an onsite position in Charlotte, NC. Local candidates are strongly preferred.
