In the last month or so i’ve started taking Metformin (1000mg), and have noticed some spotting of old blood, is this a sign I may get a period again? Or maybe a random coincidence?

I’m on birth control so my periods are very irregular, but when I wasn’t on anything i had complete amenorrhoea.

It sounds weird but I miss having regular periods, I haven’t had a natural one that wasn’t induced by medication in over 7 years.

Does anyone find that taking metformin brought their periods back / gave them a regular cycle?
