2 years on Launtel FTTP + TP-Link BE550 zero dropouts, wanted to share a positive data point
Seeing a lot of posts about connection drops and speed issues, including some on FTTP, so figured I'd share the other side of it.
My setup:
RSP: Launtel
Connection: FTTP
Router: TP-Link BE550
In about 2 years on this setup, I haven't had a single dropout. Speeds have been consistent, no random disconnects, no peak-time slowdowns.
Not saying this to dismiss anyone else's issues clearly plenty of people are dealing with real problems. But I think RSP choice and hardware make a bigger difference than people sometimes give credit for, and Launtel doesn't get mentioned as much as the bigger providers. If you're in the market and deciding between RSPs, thought this might be a useful comparison point.
Curious if other Launtel/FTTP users have had similar experiences, or if I've just been lucky.
