A different kind of comedy show in Tallahassee.
For those who just moved here for the new school year, you might be pleased to know that Tallahassee has a fairly robust comedy scene. There are multiple venues and nights for stand up as well as an FSU based improv group. If you like comedy, you're going to be eating well in Tallahassee.
However, I'd like to promote my group Movie Manglers and our show on Friday the 16th.
Movie Manglers is a live film riffing event that we perform monthly at Cap City Video Lounge. Very much in the tradition of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and Rifftrax, just with quite a bit more swearing.
Typically, we trash cinematic failures of all stipes but this month we are tackling obtuse arthouse classic Eraserhead, which we all adore. Consider it a boss fight of sorts. Joining us as special guest riffer is Cap City's own proprietor/film guru Kevin Cole.
Admission is a very reasonable $7, and shows are considered R rated for content and general rated R style shenanigans.
I hope you're able to join us, and feel free to comment below if there's a movie that you think deserves Mangling!
We also have a presence on Facebook and Instagram. Look us up if you're into that sort of thing.
