Wooden wall slats FUBAR

I got the wooden wall slats installed by a contractor on the living room TV wall. The contractor started working from both sides and tried to align them in the middle, which has broken the continuity of lines (you can see two lines are adjacent to each other at the top which is breaking the symmetry and flow). The contactor is now recommending a complete overlay on top of the existing slats, with some kind of covering at the edges. But I don't trust that he will be able to manage the alignment with the pitch and substrate. What options do I have? Can I just rip this out (some kind of adhesive was used) and get them redone with new slats through another contractor?

Pipe cavity gap under the kitchen sink

Hi folks,

What's the best way to cover the gap in this pipe cavity. These are the dishwasher pipes going under the kitchen sink. We just purchased this property and the pest inspector saw some mice droppings near it. I want to plug it. Is expandable foam safe? If so, which brand from Bunnings?

Bathroom heaters: fan forced or heat lamps

Hi all,

We're moving to a six-star energy rated house in Melbourne, but with single glazed windows. I expect the bathrooms to be chilly. What would you recommend for bathroom heaters: fan-forced or heat-lamp based? What's the ease of installation for both?

This fan-forced heater has good reviews: https://ventair.com.au/product/sah31wh

Or something like this with 4 heat lamps: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ixl-tastic-sensation-3-in-1-bathroom-heat-fan-light\_p4442470
