207 East Apartments

Hi!
I never post on here, I usually browse, but every time I see someone else move into these apartments I genuinely feel bad for them so I thought I would share.

The 207 East apartments in Edgewood are the worst. I have lived in these apartments for a little bit now and I cannot wait for my lease to be up. I have had several poor experiences here.

To start, don’t expect the rent amount to be the actual price you pay each month. There are the normal add ons like utilities, but they also love to throw on several “miscellaneous” charges each month and refuse to tell you why. And don’t even bother calling, you’ll be talking to a robot.

They are “luxury” apartments that are in a “safe community” but that’s a lie. Their security barely comes through. I had someone vandalize my car and there is no surveillance anywhere, nor does their security actually do anything. To add on to that, I’m not allowed to have a ring camera because it’s an “invasion of privacy” to my neighbors, even though i have seen most of my neighbors put one up before they’re told the same thing. My packages always get stolen, random people pound on my door, and people try to break into cars here often. (I have seen people post on the ring app of their teslas recording attempted break ins more than once) Quite frankly I don’t feel safe living here.

There is NO parking. They don’t have as many spaces as they do units and I’m sure it’s so you’ll cave and buy a covered spot or garage, when they already charge an arm and a leg for you to live there in the first place. But don’t bother leaving past 7pm because you might have to park at Starbucks when you come home if you don’t want your car towed!

And lastly, their maintenance team sucks. It is a bunch of young men who work there for cheap living and couldn’t care less about their job. Since living here, I have had two ongoing maintenance issues. I have added maintenance requests twice now where they will mark it as resolved when no one ever even came to look at it. But even when they do come to “fix” it, the repair lasts for maybe a week or two before the same thing happens again.

At the end of the day this is a huge lesson learned for me when apartment hunting in the future, and I hope for some of you too, so you don’t find yourself in this situation.

Has anyone else had similar experiences here?
