What professors should I avoid if possible?

I registered for classes without thinking about checking ratemy and the things I’m reading are scaring me into changing everything. If you’re a psych major please tell me what classes to take or who I should try to take them with. Even just the general classes… who do you guys recommend for stuff like creative experience, interdisciplinary connection, etc.

Is waitlist for classes really hard to get off?

Had a counselor tell me not to add any waitlist classes because it’s impossible to get added/ it’s a different process at LMU. What’s everyone‘s experience?

How do I become a food vendor?

I’m the first in my family to attend college and need to figure out how to pay for it. I’d like to start baking homemade treats and making coffee to help pay off my tuition. My current lease says that I cannot sell food out of my apartment. I’m hispanic and food is something we are very passionate about so I thought I could turn that into something to help me pay for my education. I’m curious if I could I sell out of my car? and if so, where? Do I need permits? Can I just set up a table in my neighborhood?

Also if you know of any resources for first generation scholarships of any kind I would appreciate that too!

UCLA waitlist

I‘m here to vent. I’ve already committed to a university but I’m foolishly holding onto some hope that ucla will let me off the waitlist. Dragging this out into July just feels so unfair. I feel dumb for choosing an impacted major. I know it’s over for wl but after applying two years in a row and not getting in it really hurts.

Landlords removing parking to build ADU’s

I’ve now heard from multiple people that their parking is being taken away in order for their landlords to build an ADU in that space. It’s only a matter of time before it happens to us. Besides moving, what are our options if this ends up being an issue? I love where I live but I can’t imagine the headache of fighting everyone daily for parking when our street is already packed.

Looking for non traditional students

looking for non traditional students/ parenting students/ older transfers. I’m an incoming transfer student and I‘m feeling super nervous about the huge age difference between me and my future classmates. Anyone here a current or past LMU student that can give me some advice to get through the next two years?

Housing and best advice for parenting students transferring in?

I’ve just committed to Davis and very excited to start! As summer is approaching and I have an elementary school aged child, I am kind of panicking about housing, finding a school and community with families. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Does UCLA send out waitlist rejection emails?

I’ve heard that some people who never make it off the UCB or LA waitlist are kind of just ghosted. Is that true or would I get an email at some point? Last year when I was on UCD waitlist I ended up getting an email in July. I know that I have to commit to another school and everything… just curious
