Medicine options

Family history of essential tremor. Mum and grandad have it. I have it too (teenager). My grandad takes primidone and propranolol. My GP said primidone is not an option and propranolol she will have to run by cardiology. I have many heart issue so I’m already on bisoprolol for rate/rhythm control. Hopefully some IR propranolol can be added on top? Any other meds? Are there anybody who is on beta blockers for cardiac reasons like me who also take propranolol?

I have brief psychotic disorder. In January I was put on the olanzapine (Zyprexa) 10 mg at night. That controlled my voices and delusions very well. Unfortunately when I lowered dose to 7.5 mg I was becoming more psychotic. This eventually led to me taking an overdose of metoclopramide and getting EPS and acute dystonic reaction. I stopped taking my olanzapine because I thought it was a plot to control me by the psychiatrist. I was sent to the inpatient unit for 5 days. I am (reluctantly) taking my olanzapine 10 mg at night. I really HATE olanzapine. It makes me sooooo foggy and I can’t concentrate. I went from being a straight-A student to now struggling even with a workload cut in half. I have no motivation. My psychiatrist is giving me the option to cross-taper to aripiprazole (Abilify). Should I do it? I’ve heard it is more stimulating than sedating, but my psychiatrist said it can increase anxiety? And akathisia? I’ve had that before. Are there any other options? I’ve heard ziprasidone can be good. I have also gained 40 lbs (previously underweight), so I want something weight neutral.
