Issues with credit card

Hello all,

Had some fraudulent transactions on my credit card, reported to PC financial within 2 days of the fraud happened. They informed me that somehow my credit card was added into someone else Google wallet. The card was freezed. Later when I called after 1.5 months of no new cards received, the person told me that they have closed my credit card account(that was best possible solution for them at that time) and i have to reapply. They did not gave me option to reapply. Later they reported me as delinquent because I missed payment on fraudulent transactions on a credit account that was closed by them. I complained about that to customer service the credit account reappeard for few seconds and then disappeared again.

Before someone jump onto conclusions. My credit score is 794. I always pay credit card before using. Before credit fraud I had paid surplus for roughly $45.19 for emergency uber.

Need some advise : freaked out

In March 2026, I received an unexpected incoming call that showed a Rogers Communications caller ID. The caller already knew my full legal name before I even said anything, which immediately unsettled me. When I asked for verification, they sent me an email that looked official, with Rogers branding and a corporate-style address. I genuinely believed at that moment that I was speaking to a legitimate representative. I felt pressured and confused, and I agreed to a device purchase without fully understanding what was happening.

After that, things escalated quickly. Over the next few weeks, four expensive devices were suddenly ordered on my Fido account. I did not knowingly authorize these orders. I was alarmed when I saw what was happening and immediately tried to fix it. I returned every single device using prepaid labels that were provided to me, and I have full tracking records showing they were all sent back. One of the devices was even delivered to a Toronto address I have never heard of and was signed for by someone I do not know, which made me feel even more confused and anxious.

I reported everything on April 11, 2026, to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, the police, and Fido’s internal fraud or abuse reporting channel. I was hoping someone would actually investigate it properly, but I felt like nothing meaningful was done. I wasn’t asked for any real details or evidence, and I was later told I was fully liable, which left me shocked and overwhelmed.

Decided to challenge their decision at small claims court.

Now Fido’s defence is saying I personally initiated calls to place these orders. That is not what happened. My phone bill—generated by Fido’s own network—shows incoming calls on March 17 and March 27 at the exact times in question. I did not call Fido at all. I strongly believe someone called Fido pretending to be me.

Their defence also says Voice ID was enrolled on my account on March 27, but then their own records show Voice ID being offered again on April 9, as if it didn’t exist. That contradiction doesn’t make sense to me and adds to my confusion. They are also saying that the devices were ordered using my home internet modem.

They are also claiming I ordered devices for my father and sister, which is not true. My entire family lives in India. I would never order Canadian devices for them, especially since I can’t legally or practically ship them due to customs restrictions.

The scammers bought those devices on financing, not on my credit cards. So I can not dispute those transactions with credit union. Looking at the high value of the devices, the telecom provider is eager to put everything on me

What should i do, am completely freaked out, what should i do???
