Timer/Scale Integration into Drip Tray on R58 V2 (2017)

After 2 prior prototypes I think I’ve just about nailed it. Think anyone would buy it? Do the other rocket models have similarly sized drip trays?

Design notes for the Nerds:

3D printed with Petg-gf upside down on engineering plate with PLA as support (Bambu H2D). Had to rotate the timer CCW 90 deg and offset it right to get the readout visible with Le Creuset mugs. Timer height was an issue too, had to protrude beyond the height of the drip tray. Decided to create a lip and make contact on the top side of the drip tray rather than the inside to have a flush interface between the top of the grate and timer. Dead center has drop to ensure cup only contacts timer/scale (not drip tray as well). Also found that the inside drip tray/grate interface was not flat and caused teeter totter, top was relatively flat, guess it’s a function of how they weld the corners and constrain it. E61 downspout drains into a height adjustable catch/spout that goes into the drip tray to not spatter everywhere and onto the timer. Spout top is open on the back side to permit sliding the tray in and out without adjustment. Timer cavity is enclosed so that if the drip tray water level gets too high it will over flow before ruining the timer. Double edged sword in that the timer cavity won’t drain and possibly will not indicate water inside until too late (may be worth putting a float style indicator in a sort of cavity sump). Symmetrical finger holes for easy removal.
