Went to a DQ and waited forever (not many in my area) which is fine and finally get to the drive thru window and the (I think manager) flips my blizzard and it spills, he immediately says I will make you another and disappears. A few min later he returns and flips, good this time. So I causally say “so do I get a coupon for a free one next time?” He responds “I made you a new one”, I smile and jokingly say “now you know that’s not how it works” he replied “oh I can get you a free soda what flavor do you want?” I say I’m good I don’t want soda but he should follow the rules.
This is a first for me. I grew up going to DQ and never had a blizzard that didn’t pass the flip test so I was kinda excited like getting that toy out of cereal box. Anyway that’s my story.

I was a legal assistant in capital markets for 6 years and recently (two weeks ago) changed jobs now I’m at a litigation firm. I’m excited to learn but damn all the terms and acronyms are overwhelming. Such a different world. One lawyer calls it a file xyz and another calls it abc so I’m looking everywhere for xyz but it’s under abc. I feel crazy and like my coworkers think I’m dumb for asking a questions. Ive mentioned that these terms are new to me and yet I’m googling and searching everywhere because they forget (which I get) but it takes twice as long when this happens. Thanks for letting me vent needed today.
