Early Bird Ticket Duration

I was notified that cheaper “early bird” tickets are now available and I’m wondering how long that special lasts or how long it’s lasted in the past? I definitely want them at the cheaper price point but I don’t really have/want to spend that money TODAY if that makes sense. TIA

[Discussion] How long is too long?

So I commissioned an artist/acquaintance last year (2025) he opened oil painting commissions in February so I commissioned an 11x4 pet portrait from him. We discussed my ideas and references and I paid him upfront(2/22/25). He gave no indication of when it would be finished but I thought that’s fine he had multiple slots opens so it will probably take a few months as there are potentially other patrons in front of me in the queue it’s cool. March 17 rolls around I ask if he has any updates he could show me on how it’s going mostly because I’m curious, he tells me he’s laying down the sketch but has been busy with school/work. Cool no worries. July 11 at this point it’s sort of slipped my mind but I’ve heard nothing. So I reach out he says he will send an update tomorrow. Radio silent. Nov 28 I’m like yo it’s been a minute how’s it going? A day or so later he gets back to me apologizing for no communication but that he’s been swamped with everything else going on in his day to day but does finally show me the painting saying it’s not finished but this is what he’s working with at the moment and asks for a few more reference photos so I send them and the last I’ve heard from him was Dec 1 2025. It is now July 18 2026. I will admit some of it is on me because I’m a forgetful person and it just slipped my mind so I haven’t followed up as much as I should but also he hasn’t reached out to me on his own at all. I understand art takes time and depending on the medium it can take longer but should it take this long with zero updates? I don’t want to be rude or demanding but I would like my commission. Any advice would be very appreciated.
