First PC build, €1700 budget. Anything you’d change?

building my first proper pc and wanted to get some opinions before i actually start buying stuff.

i’m in ireland and my budget is around €1700 for the tower. mainly gonna use it for 1080p 200hz gaming, but also local AI/coding, game dev, blender etc.

current list:

  • Ryzen 5 7600X — €157.78
  • Thermalright Frozen Notte 360 — €57.73
  • MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi6E — €140.25
  • Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36 — €452.33
  • Acer Predator GM7 1TB — €167.13
  • ASUS Prime RX 9070 16GB — €653.66
  • MSI MAG A650GLS 650W Gold — €70.12
  • NZXT H5 Flow 2024 — €58.43

most of the parts are from Amazon UK and the GPU is from Amazon Germany. the Amazon UK cart is currently about €1,103.77, and with the GPU the parts come to around €1,757 before any extra UK checkout/import/FX adjustments.

also planning on getting an MSI MAG 244F 1080p 200hz monitor for around €89 delivered.

before anyone says it, yes i know €452 for 32gb of ram is criminal 😭 it jumped in price since i made the list so i’m definitely replacing that with another 32gb 6000 kit before buying.

i also know the 360mm AIO is unnecessary for a 7600X lol, i just like how it looks.

anything you guys would change? mainly looking for feedback on the overall balance and if there’s anywhere i’m wasting money or could get something better for roughly the same price. ireland/eu prices are kinda cooked so keep that in mind 😭

MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi6E — €116.98
Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36 — €336.33

First proper gaming PC build in Ireland — €1,700 tower budget, RTX 5070 / Ryzen 5 7600X — anything I should change?

Hi, I’m planning my first proper gaming PC and would appreciate some feedback before I finalise the build.

I’m in Ireland, so pricing and availability are pretty different from the US.

Budget: €1,700 maximum for the tower, delivered to Ireland.
The monitor is separate at around €89 delivered, so roughly €1,800 max for the full setup.

Peripherals needed: None. Monitor is listed separately.

What I want from the PC

  • Mainly gaming
  • 1080p high-refresh is intentional — I’m not trying to build around 1440p
  • High/Ultra settings in demanding AAA games with strong FPS
  • Competitive games such as CS2 at very high FPS
  • I want the build to last several years without spending money on unnecessary overkill
  • AMD CPU + NVIDIA GPU preference

The monitor will be an MSI MAG 244F — 1080p, 200Hz Rapid IPS.

Current build

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
  • CPU Cooler: Thermalright Frozen Notte 360 Black ARGB V2
  • Motherboard: MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi6E ATX
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2×8GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 — placeholder only
  • SSD: Acer Predator GM7 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe
  • GPU: ASUS Dual OC RTX 5070 12GB
  • Case: NZXT H5 Flow (2024)
  • PSU: ASUS TUF Gaming 750W Bronze EVO
  • Monitor: MSI MAG 244F 23.8" 1080p 200Hz
  • Windows: €0 for now

Important notes

The 16GB RAM kit is only a placeholder. RAM prices available to me are currently terrible. My actual target is 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30–36, ideally around €200–€220 or less.

The RTX 5070 + 750W PSU are part of a bundle costing about €699 delivered, which is why I’ve split the cost between those two parts.

I know a 360mm AIO is unnecessary for a Ryzen 5 7600X purely for CPU cooling. The reason I’m considering it is that it costs only around €48 at the moment and comes with three front fans. My plan is:

  • 360mm AIO mounted at the front as intake
  • Move the H5 Flow’s included front 120mm fan to the bottom as a GPU intake
  • Keep the included rear 120mm fan as exhaust

I’m also aware that an RTX 5070 is a lot of GPU for 1080p. That is intentional. I want high-refresh 1080p with plenty of performance headroom, rather than moving to 1440p.

Some Amazon UK prices I’m using are manually entered from Irish checkout pages. Amazon adds shared import/VAT charges separately, so the individual prices should be treated as planning prices rather than exact final delivered totals. I’ll re-check the whole market and final Irish checkout prices immediately before buying.

Main things I’d like opinions on

  • Does the 7600X + RTX 5070 pairing make sense for 1080p/200Hz?
  • Is anything obviously weak or badly balanced?
  • Am I overspending anywhere?
  • Is the 750W PSU a good fit?
  • Any problem with the front 360mm AIO + bottom GPU intake airflow idea?
  • Would you change the motherboard, SSD or case?
  • Once I find sane RAM pricing, should I go straight to 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30/32?
  • Is there anything important I’m missing before I eventually order?

I’m not buying immediately — probably in around 1–2 months — so this is mainly to make sure the build itself is solid before I start purchasing parts.

Thanks.
