At least second owner, was like new when I got it, I’ve carried it a bit at work and literally have only used it to cut open squinchers and exactly 3 thin plastic bands, but it’s spent the last 2 weeks in my pocket at work so the clip has noticeable wear on it
Blade is still factory edge, hasn’t been sharpened only stropped, still pretty sharp

Centering is pretty close, tried to include a picture
No scratches or chips in blade, tip is in perfect condition
I did chamfer (idk if that’s the right word) the edges of the spidey hole with 1200 grit sandpaper just lightly because it was digging into my nail every time I opened it, now’s it’s smooth and comfortable as hell
It didn’t really remove much material just smoothed out the sharpness of the hole slightly
Has not been disassembled but I did loctite the pivot with a tiny bit of blue loctite so not sure if that counts, no other screws were touched

I do not have original box

Got this knife cause it was marketed towards professional climbers and I am a rope access technician, thought it would be neat to have, but I just don’t really find myself wanting to carry it anymore when I’ve got other stuff I like more.

Wts awt para 3 LW scales

They were blemished, although I couldn’t find what makes them a blemish when I got them, I have carried them once or twice and as such there is very slight wear (pictured) only on one little spot from I think hitting my keys in my pocket or something
The inside pin where the lock bar rests is a bit chewed up from installation (had to smack it with the handle of my screw driver to get it seated) but it does not affect function and cannot see it when assembled

First owner of these, not sure what else to put for scales as far as description

Action is nice and smooth no damage to tip or edge
Some tape residue there in the pictures, I’ll clean it nice and good before sending off
I’ve only cut maybe 2 or 3 packages open with it since getting it but I have carried it a few times
Still super sharp rn, mirror edge, idk the degree as the previous owner sharpened it
No damage to handles
Pivot and clip screw is good no stripping, body hardware is rivets

Sandblasted and oil quenched these titanium scales for my para 3 in cruwear, I think they turned out pretty good
A little bronzier than I wanted but better than they were before

Gonna see how well the finish holds up and if it scratches super easy I may just stone wash them in some ceramic media

I don’t have original packaging, it’s in fairly good condition minimal signs of use, i only carried it for maybe a month last fall. Back padding is firm and nice and supportive, super lightweight and great for what it’s advertised for.

Bought this on eBay, was listed as a fake. Guy said he bought it under the impression it was real but he thinks it’s fake so he wanted to try and recuperate some of the cost. He didn’t say where he bought it from but he had other legit stuff listed for sale so I know he’s just some guy. I only paid 40 bucks for it and i was curious because in the photos it looked pretty real from what I could tell aside from the ever so slightly misaligned laser engraving. I figured worst case scenario I have a cheap work knife I can trash on that’s at least fun to fidget with, which I knew was the likely outcome lol.

Well I just got it in today and the box is definitely fake (says “made in USA” on the barcode) it did come with the sticker and proper documentation though. rest of the box is fairly convincing even next to my confirmed real spyderco boxes, the black is a little different but I doubt all their boxes are printed in the same place so that could just be variance.

The action on it is very good, like it feels great, spring is nice and firm but drops shut very smoothly, and what really threw me off was that there’s a date code on the blade, which had me thinking maybe it’s possibly real and the guy was just mistaken. AFAIK no fakes have date codes that I’ve seen and I’ve scoured all the authenticity posts on manix 2’s. This one reads 06-23C (albeit maybe misaligned)

It’s just the damn laser engraving that looks a little off and the spyderco logo is kind of splotchy, is it possible that it’s just a bad QC that didn’t get marked as a 2nd? Or are the fakes getting better?

Also I’ve never had a manix 2 LW so maybe there’s something obvious I’m missing? Personally I knew there was a large chance it was fake (because it was listed as such) and I bought it out of sheer curiosity, but now idk. The date code really threw me off

It has been carried, sharpened and cut with. Blade steel is AEB-L. Shows slight signs of wear on anodization from being in the pocket. It is on flytanium ceramic bearings and comes with the Bali boot pictured but no original packaging, I am the second owner, was in like new condition when I got it but I’ve carried and flipped it quite a bit. Still feels great and action is nice and smooth.
