I picked up my new knife one day and noticed it was notched as shown.

It has been in the dishwasher accidentally once or twice and has also been left for long periods in a soaking sink.

How did this happen and is there a price effective fix, or should I just buy a new knife for ~$35?

Since I’m getting the Magnacut manix 2 I’d love to see what you guys have done with yours. I like the satin finish much better but hate the scales on it so I’ll definitely be getting after market. Just have no clue what color scales or hardware yet

I decided to give it a try, and for a budget EDC knife, and besides Spyderco’s steel selection, the size, ergonomics and action are rock solid. It’s one of those knives that just disappears in your pocket.
What are your thoughts? (Excluding the 8Cr13 debate 😁)?

My largest folder is the Demko AD20 XXX at 9.62” and 10.9 oz. The smallest is the American Blade Works Slip Joint at 5.62” and 2.3 oz.

Some of you might have seen my post from about a week ago with my new 112 that I received with some minor issues. I fiddled with the blade centering enough to just go with it.

The 2nd day of it in my pocket the clip snagged on a doorway as I walked through and it snapped clean off. Pretty minimal force. The clip looks like some crappy pot metal… beyond disappointed considering how hyped I was for this knife. It is getting returned through GovX.

I can usually take or leave crossbar locks, but his version of it is very cool. Makes for a strong detent.

Recently decided to pick up a big brother for my OG Belair (after well over a year of it being in my rotation). Really, really liking it after break it in yesterday.

Pictured with some of my USA made rotation. Hopefully it serves as a useful side comparison if anyone else decides to pick one up (it's effectively the same footprint as the iridium, but with a thicker blade).

No high dollar collectibles to speak of , but a lot of fun. I have 5 more layers this full, some going back to my childhood 50+ years ago. Probably given away 25-30 knives...
