My 8X magnification setup

A focus stacked shot of a house fly head

Shot on Nikon D610 + reversed Schneider kreuznach componen S 50mm f2.8 + Nikkor 200mm f4 as a tube lens and TC201 2X teleconverter

With this setup 8x Mag was achieved

When the reversed lens is set to f4 the effective aperture becomes about f36

Extreme macro using vintage gear

A focus stack of around 25+ photos of the insides of an old "dirty" mechanical watch

The setup:

- Nikon D610

- jupiter 37A 135mm f3.5 in proper orientation

- cpl filter to reduce glare

- a reversed EL Nikkor 50mm f4 @f5.6

-Godox TT350n flash

With this setup i was able to achieve 2.7X magnification

Extreme macro using vintage gear

Extreme macro photography using a Frankenstein lens

First time trying extreme macro (10x) using a microscope objective,

Shot on Nikon D610 (crop mode due to small image circle),

Some photos are stacked others are single exposures,

The gear I use is a hollow Helios 44-2 which i modified by adding a m39 threads to the front basically turning it to an m39 to m42 focusing helicoid to use with my enlarger lenses , the second hollow lens is an industar 50 m39 which fits the microscope objective perfectly
