Question regarding fear runs and darkness farming for upgrading aspect weapons

Hey guys,
So I’ve beaten both bottom and top side a few times and now I’m thinking of trying out fear runs. One thing which isn’t quite clear to me is what benefits am i getting on doing the fear runs? Like in Hades 1 you would get increased resources when defeating guardians or loot in general. Another thing which i couldn’t find info on is whether there is any benefit of increasing fears levels gradually (like do one run on fear 1, then fear 2, and so on), or do fear 6 straightaway. Would i miss any rewards because of jumping straight to fear 6, or i would gave gotten darkness each time i clear a run on a higher fear level than before.

Thanks in advance

Just got the Platinum

Quite an upgrade from Returnal in terms of gameplay, and easiness for newcomers. Loved the visual and boss designs. The story may be obscure but i found it interesting to keep me going to find the secrets of Carcosa.

Now i wish to get enough kills on each weapon, enemies/boss kills and remaining collectibles to read up more.

I saw some posts stating that the game is short and some folks even getting the Platinum in 14-24 hours, and even guides suggesting it can be done under 25 hours. I personally think they may be misleading as there is SO MUCH the game has to offer. If you have played Returnal then act like need to
- get every collectible in the game including text logs, audio logs, holograms, Halcyon from each Biome
- get every main weapon and all of the available traits
- get every power weapon and traits
- unlock every node in the skill tree
- unlocking all modifiers (that can make the game easy and difficult)

Depending if this is your first time and you have played Returnal before, I think this game will require at least 50-80 hours to cover everything I’ve listed above. I’m mentioning this so that people don’t get in the fence thinking if they should spend 70 dollars on a game that has only 15-25 hours of content only, which isn’t true at all.

Regarding how people are doing it so early? Well there is an accessibility option that can make the game quite easy. Not to mention some glitches are also available for trophies like untouchable (where you have to clear a whole biome without getting hit) which can be attained easily under 60-90 secs.
