Anyone else's mutt have a Seal Coat / Ghost Coat?

Seems like our puppy is going to have a Seal Coat coloration. He barely had some hints of brown when we picked him up at 10 weeks old, and chalked it up to puppy coat. In the four or five weeks since, he's only getting light and lighter around his shoulders and flanks.

Seems like it should be a pretty cool effect when he is fully grown.

Moka the Mega Mutt

Moka at three months old is starting to look like an actual dog, and less like a burnt potato with mismatched ears. We're still very curious as to what he (and his 26 breeds detected) will look like when he grows up.

Dustkitty contemplates teaching a lesson.

Finley loves all his fellow fuzzy siblings... Leela's feelings about that are decidedly more conflicted. I am pretty certain she's only ever smacked her littermates, though.

The new puppy learns to maybe not pull on Finley's tail.

Finley the Giant Friendly GSD Mix (most accurately a 140 pound Bernese Mountain Dog wearing a German Shepherd coat) has the patience of a saint with our new puppy. That doesn't mean manners will not be taught when needed, however.

Photos are decidedly FAFO about what to do and not to do with other dogs' tails.

So what's the highest number of breeds you've seen on a Wisdom Panel? Moka would like to know...

We've submitted nine tests to Wisdom Panel over the years for our own dogs and some of the rescues we have fostered. Our new puppy has a mix of herritages that puts them all to absolute shame.

What's the most larged number of breeds you've seen on your results?

Play?

Finn needs company to play with toys, and is perfectly happy just holding the toy with you.

Which is good, because playing tug with him would likely dislocate many people's limbs.

Just another perfectly normal day with perfectly normal dogs

Forrest (black Rottie mix) and Finley (giant tan GSD mix) having their usual post-breakfast chase / wrestle / bitey fae session this morning. Forrest is 12, and getting him a puppy to play with has made a day and night difference in his energy level and general mood.
