Most of my research has been around Pattaya, but what's Jomtien like? Any advice for a Newbie?

Other than the obvious items (clothes, meds, cash, phone etc.) what should I be packing for my upcoming trip to Pattaya that I'm not thinking about?

Question for the techbros here. Has anyone traveled to Pattaya (or anywhere else for that matter) with T-Mobile. Do I really need to buy a local SIM?

Still working out my itenerary for a potential trip later in the Summer. So far the Bayview is my first choice but am open to options. Obviously hotel needs to be girl friendly and reasonable on price. I'd prefer some place centrally located and that is somewhat quiet.

I've got some time off work coming up in July or so, and am debating knocking off a bucket list item and taking a trip to Pattaya. Lurked on the forum quite a bit and others, as well as watched some YouTube vids. Any advice for a Newbie? Hotel recommendations? I'm normally not into loud bars or clubs, can anyone recommend spots that are more chill and quiet?
