Bought my Retributers second hand a while back, and they came missing their two cherubs.

Fortunately, my wife and I ordered these from Etsy around Christmas originally as a fun date idea.

We painted them up this week, and that’s when I realized I now had two nice cherub proxies for the Dallas Open.

A reference to our two dogs: Margot the corgi, and Gamgee the German shepherd mix. Wife has a set too, but they are not pictured here :) hers look great tho.

Fun to paint (something that’s not white power armor 😭), and good practice with doing readable fur. Looks okay at table top distance…but highlights are a bit chunky, especially with black.

What a great kit!

I was a little on the fence when they were released with regard to fitting the theme and feel of sisters, but I really think they are A tier now!! (😉)

The idea of a faithful rabble that follows around SoB is cool and I paint sacred rose so that is a neat lore connection.

One of my favorite aspect of sisters though is the amount of silhouettes in the faction. It looks so cool when you mix them all together in an army. These are a perfect addition to that idea. So is the new sisters character, quite frankly.

The only thing left to do are decal some pages in the books and some scribbles for the purity seals.

The translucent effect is also backwards on the Miraculist but it was fun practicing that effect. I’ll probably leave it as is.

Highlights are a bit chunky too, but do their work at table top level.

Also, it’s cool doing a mix of base colors: the red and brown. I really like that when I mix it in with the rest of the army.

While this is a great kit, HOLY DETAIL. It will be a second before I build and paint another.

Using these for a list in the upcoming Dallas open.
