I got these two on eBay and am in the process of stripping their crappy paint jobs off. The listing said they were Canonesses but they don’t look like any Canoness that comes up when I google it. Are they kitbashed or are they not Canonesses?

Have a few things to touch up on but wanted to get her mostly finished for a tournament this weekend.

Recently finished my jump pack cannoness. I used a few new techniques, including my first time using a wet palette! I think she turned out very well!

A few weeks ago I came up with a general idea of a custom order that originated from a frozen world and it inspired me to grab my first box of battle sisters! Building was hell but painting is wonderful!

'Tis a funny miniature. On one hand I feel like they are really cool to paint. On the other hand I kinda feel like there is not much more I can do here to push the paint job further.

I know 3 BSS are a bit much, but I like them and I think it's good for the variants. Also I'm doing this for 10th because me and my friend prefer 10th edition. I picked Bringer of Flame as the ability to get Assault on all weapons is pretty good. And if the enemy gets close to me I get a bonus to my Strength.

I always wanted to add some Sisters onto a Rhino, but I didn’t like the idea of them being permanently attached to it. So I created these custom bases that allow me to visibly dismount the unit, place the Sisters on their bases, and put them on the table.
The Hunter-Killer Missile would simply function as a regular Battle Sister with a bolter once she dismounts.

Last addition to my order. I had to fight my painting fatigue to get them done, the missing 5th sister is still waiting for the second try.

While I adore the Sororitas models, after roughly 8 months of painting whites & blues, I'm really looking forward to the Penitent Engine.

Their drip is so holy, Saint Celestine would be furious (probably because I stole her drip...)

Took a while to get the time to, but she is finally done! It was really fun to paint a completely different scheme for once. What a great model, one of my favorite shield designs ever

I remember talk of people wanting a sniper unit of sisters who were blind and aimy by faith (also horse cavalry).

Why not a psyker-powered, big ass Melta/Flamer? The sisters are previously blind or made blind purely by the fire of the cannon itself, melting through their eyelids or visors. The cannon is carried and maneuvered by sister novitiates (or repentia?) and lead by a sister revelator.

for gameplay it would probably require expending a miracle dice to fire or sometihng.

I currently have a large force of traitor Guardsmen, focused around massed infantry. Im looking to start a new army, and what I'd like is a small elite melee force. Painting so many infantry, I started to rush, and I'd like something to take my time over.

Im leaning towards sisters due to the aesthetic, and I really like the miracle dice mechanic.

I was thinking of building an army around two big blobs of celestial sacrecants with halbards, hospitalers, and Palatines.

A saint celestine with some Zepharym and an Exorcist.

I have heard, however, that these units may not be very viable at the moment, but im not overly interested in being as optimal as possible. I just want to build a cool looking army without getting tabled every time.

So, any advice on achieving a small elite force, centred around melee primarily but not exclusively, would be really appreciated.

Yes.. I paint slow. I also didn't paint for like 4 months in the middle so really it took me more like 3 months. Still slow.. but yeah lol. Anyways! I'm really happy how they came out. The superior, simulacrum and cherub I did only in the last 2 or 3 weeks so those are the most recent ones. And I had a detail brush for those.
