I think this piece mostly turned out! I sculpted the fire which was a first for me. I feel like the photos didn’t turn out though - anyone have tips for taking better pictures? I have an iPhone 13 — maybe the camera isn’t good enough? The quality doesn’t seem to compare well to other minis I’ve seen.

I'm chipping away at this piece and finally put his second arm on. I'm just now second guessing some color choices now that it's all together, but I wanted other people's opinions: does anything seem off to you? Or like a color choice that clashes?

I deepened the shadows and took the highlights from Mephiston red to evil sunz scarlet. Curious what people think - I’m almost wondering if it’s not looking rich red enough anymore? It’s a tricky balance - I don’t want it to turn orange…
I used an airbrush to shoot Liquitex black ink into shadows to get a little more grim darkness. I’m gonna go over the highlights again but this is a follow up from yesterday - thanks for the suggestions.
Hey y’all - back again with this WIP. I’m trying to get feedback on the sword OSL — I want it to look like lightning but is the blue reflection looking right on the wrist? Should I extend it also to the shoulder pad?
I’m trying to put doorknobs on a 1-inch thick wooden door but it dawned on me that 1-inch is quite thin. Are there specialty hardware pieces I need to fit a door that thin? How can I put a doorknob on this door?
I’m struggling to get this jet flame look right I think, and could use a gut check: does this look convincingly like jet flame? Or is something off about it?
