Very Late Game Strategy: is there any reason to research anything other than VU?

I have everything. My white science is pouring in, and my sphere is humming along at 100GW (those are rookie numbers, I know).

I've got VU pretty high, but keeping thinking there must be some other tech I should be researching as well. Maybe logistics speed? Is anything else going to give me any benefit besides just the highest levels of VU?

▲ 581 r/golf

Confession time: I lie to my golf friends every time we go out.

Judge me all you want. if our tee time is at 2:10, I tell them it’s at 2. If it’s at 7:15, I tell them 7:06. And then I remind them to be there early.

I’m not teeing off late because you were scrolling r/golf on the toilet, and thought you had time.

[IASIP] Does Dolph Lundgren play John Thundergun, or is it just someone who happens to look like him?

In Mac & Charlie Write a Movie, Mac and Charlie think Dolph Lundgren is an under-rated actor, who's career they can revive. But if he is currently starring in the Thundergun franchise, he should be at the level of Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sly Stallone. So when we see footage of Thundergun: Maximum Cool, are we seeing the actor Dolph Lundgren or are we just seeing an actor who happens to look a lot like Dolph Lundgren (in their world), and who (in our world), is played by Dolph Lungren?

I have over 2000 hours into this game. Today, I archived all of my blueprints.

I had already been thinking the blueprints site is too much like a cheat code, so I made a decision. Now I'm sitting on a planet that is effectively a blank slate, with everything unlocked. My goal is to create blueprint "stubs" for everything I need to get to PLS, at the lowest blueprint level feasible, entirely from scratch. My biggest decision is to decide if I want my factories to generally be vertical or horizontal. Wish me luck.

I've been keeping an eye on ebay/craigslist/fbmp for a used mevo, and people seem to have figured out the going rate is ~300 each. Anything below 1k for a 3-pack is sketchy, and any thing above that, you may as well buy new.

But right now, on logitech.com there is a 3-pack of refurbished cameras for 920 (150 off). But this *stacks* with their 15% off if you give them your email address, bringing my total down to 781 (plus tax). It included free shipping, and has already shipped.

Seems to me like its the best way to get into this from a reliable source.
