So I decided to take the plunge and invest in different equipment to stream my kids' games. I bought 3 Mevo Starts and 1 slate 7 travel router. I had an Anker C300 portable battery already and decided to test the set up at yesterday's game. I used my pixel 9 pro XL to stream by tethering.
There were constant hiccups even though I changed the quality and the latency. Is this to be expected or could it have been based on placement of the router/cameras? I had 1 camera behind home plate and the other 2 equidistant on both sides before 1st base/3rd base. I set up the router behind home plate about 15 feet behind the location of that camera.
Is there anything I could to help with the streaming issues? I went ahead and ordered Starlink a few days ago but wasn't sure if the issue was tied to my hotspot or if it was router placement/camera placement. Should I be running it in 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz? Were there settings I need to make on the slate7?
Also, I was thinking of getting some sort of tripod set up for starlink/slate7 so it's raised a bit more. How much of a difference would raising starlink be or would it be better to raise the slate7 higher?
Any idea why my 5 and 7 batters have their name repeated twice, my 8 batter repeated once, and my 6 batter no repeat at all? I get columns 4 and 5 show different positions they moved to in which inning, but why the repeated row?
Edit to add: This is 10U, all kids hit, no batting subs, as evidenced by 7 hitter starting as EH and later playing the field.
This is a 2 part request:
If you are someone with authority to schedule a game for an active season’s team, when you are on an opposing team’s homepage, have a button added to “Schedule Game” directly from there as opposed to having to go back to the homepage of your team and search for the team all over again and for some reason the two searches don’t seem to net the same results all the time.
Allow a toggle on/off feature for the staff of a team to receive a notification that a team has scheduled a game with you and allow you to accept and that will automatically add it to your schedule.
I run the senior league east regional tournament every July and I would like to be able to livestream the games without having to ask every team to add me to their staff. Is this a possibility?
You see, little league of Williamsport, PA tells us that the livestream is our responsibility but I feel GameChanger currently makes us have to jump through unnecessary hoops to livestream a tournament.
Could you somehow fix this?

New to the Reddit space.
Background:
I have been using 3 iPhone 14’s with the Mevo go app installed to livestream my kids games to YouTube and GameChanger using my iPad from 2022 to control everything and a glinet puli to handle both local networking and cellular connection.
The issue:
I pulled the trigger over the summer and replaced the iPhones with 3 Nearstream vm33’s.
- out of the box, image quality is worse
- my iPad overheats and shuts off within 30 minutes
I lowered the image quality and put latency at its highest to keep from overheating. I ended up with an even worse video quality but can go 45 minutes before my iPad overheats and shuts off.
- I have tried using my wife’s newer iPad
- running in ndi mode
- using just a single camera
- running on obs through my MacBook Pro
- running on an android tablet
- messing with my networking settings
- running the vm33 in mevo and a few other apps
It’s so bad I’ve gone back to using my old iPhone setup. So that the parents that can’t be at games can tell which kid is theirs.
Do y’all have any suggestions or ideas?
it would be great if within GameChanger you could take a picture of the lineup card and it auto populate the batting order. A plus would be positions and even if it got most of it right and left empty spots of what it can’t read. this would help with back to back games and some of this would rely on if it could read the handwriting.
This is already available in different types of apps. I gave used it for putting in receipts. Also, IOS has the ability to read text in an image.

Scorekeepers who are not Team Staff now have the ability to schedule games and set/share/scan lineups ahead of entering scorekeeping mode.
This is for iOS users only for now, but our team is actively working on Android. Make sure you are on the latest version of the app.

I have the opportunity to buy the VM33 for really cheap but most posts I'm reading shows the Mevo Start as the one behind home plate.
Ok, this is a semi-sarcastic post. But can the prompt being used for the genAI recaps have the following added: "Do not refer to games or innings being flipped on their head"?
Both my sons' teams have recaps that include this phrase: "[Team] flipped the game on its head in the [inning]...". Every. Single. Recap. Perhaps I'm being a little too critical, but the repetitive nature of this phrase that's uncommon in human authored baseball recaps detracts from an otherwise enjoyable feature.
Otherwise, I love the recaps and they're one of the reasons I pay for the GC subscription.
Hey all, I’ve got an Avkans Go 4k that I’ve been using for the past year without issue, but there’s been a few times recently where if our opponent shared their stream, even if I end it, I can no longer stream, it just times out. The worst part is since I ended their sharing, I can’t re-enable it.
Stranger, if I start a stream from my phone, that will work, only my RTMP will time out.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I’ve been streaming games using a Mevo start and now, for the last year, Core without issue. I even streamed games on Wednesday without issue, but today when I went to stream my son’s games, I went through the process and when the Mevo app opened to go live, go live was grayed out, and my only option was just to record locally. It was almost as if GameChanger was not communicating with the Mevo app and sending the information needed to it. Any ideas? I have more games tomorrow to give a shot at. Thanks!
