Scorekeepers who are not Team Staff now have the ability to schedule games and set/share/scan lineups ahead of entering scorekeeping mode.

This is for iOS users only for now, but our team is actively working on Android. Make sure you are on the latest version of the app.

We also moved Quick Navigation for Android into our In Progress column on our Roadmap. Make sure to vote for other features you would like to see.

6 new basketball features are rolling out!

1. Postgame Play-by-Play Editing (iOS): Made a scoring mistake? Fix it after the final buzzer. Edit the play-by-play to keep player stats and final results accurate.
2. Score Your Way (iOS): Simple, Advanced, and Stream and Score modes. Pick the scoring experience that works best for you.
3. Game Clock in Simple Scoring (iOS): The clock now lives right inside Simple Scoring, and fans and families will see it on the live stream as they watch.
4. Player Game Story & Player Season Story: Personalized, newspaper style recaps spotlighting each player's performance.
5. Player Insights Clips: See the plays behind the insights. Each insight paired with the video clip, so you can revisit the moment and what it says about a player's performance.
6. Feed-Ready Clips: Takes your highlight and reformat it into vertical video, ready to post straight to TikTok, Instagram Reels, or Stories.

Sponsorship Logos

Team Staff can now upload a sponsorship or team logo directly on live streams! Upload a sponsor's logo to help fundraise, or just display your own team logo. Available to all iOS and Android Team Staff.

Arrival Time Extension

Team Staff can now set arrival times anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours before the event. (though the parents might revolt if you ask them to show up 3 hours early). We received this request a bunch from this community. Make sure you are on the latest version of either the Android or iOS app (also works on web).

Stats By Position

Users can now see how a player performed at each position they played this season, with stats (assists, putouts, fielding percentage, etc.) broken out row by row for each position on the field. Now available on the player stat pages on both Android and iOS.

Improved Opponent Lineup Flow

Staff on iOS can now enter an opponent's lineup directly from the Event screen! You no longer need to jump into scoring mode early to set up the opponent's roster. You can now scan the opposing team's QR code right from that same screen to instantly load their lineup. Android support is on the way.

FaceID Login

Users can now use their devices FaceID feature to log in immediately. Make sure you are on the latest version of the app to utilize.

Camera Recommendation Tool

We built a tool to take the guesswork out of which camera works best for your situation. Tell us about your streaming needs, and our personalized recommendation tool will match you with the perfect camera setup

Announcements are a one-way communication tool that lets teams send important updates to their team. With Announcements, Team Staff can ensure updates are easily found rather than getting buried in busy team chat threads or external emails.

For you old timers, this is one of the last features that hadn't made it back over from the GC Classic app to the new app.

Lots shipped this month. Here's everything new across platforms:

Android Lineup Recommendations (Staff only)
Android staff can now auto generate optimal lineups using GC data and sabermetric principles. Set your number of players, remove anyone unavailable, and easily tweak the lineup.

Situational Stats (iOS, Team Staff only)
New season stat tables for baseball/softball staff. Break down team and player performance by count, batting order spot, inning, outs, base state, score situation, and batted ball type. See how performance shifts moment to moment.

Live Activities (in Beta/iOS only)
Score and inning now show right on your lock screen. Still in beta. We'll make a full announcement once it's rolled out to everyone.

Spray Charts on Web
Non staff users can view batting and pitching spray charts for players right from web profiles.

Player Profiles on Web
Non-staff web users can now browse the full team roster, view any player's profile, request team membership, and see the same stats previously app only.

Top Plays (iOS)
Post game clips now get a "Top Play" badge on standout moments. No more digging through 60 routine clips to find the highlight.

Basketball Player Insights (iOS/Android)
Staff and confirmed members can now see player specific Insights for each active player in a game, alongside the existing team level Game Insights.

Situational Stats are live for baseball/softball staff members. This is a new set of season stat tables that break down team and player performance across key game situations. Coaches can now analyze results by factors like count, batting order position, inning, outs, base state, score situation, and batted ball type, helping them understand how performance changes in different moments of a game.

Situational Stats helps coaches answer questions like "Who performs best with runners in scoring position?" or "How do we hit when behind in the count?" With this feature, we're bringing more advanced baseball and softball analysis into GameChanger and giving teams new ways to learn from their data.

We just released a small but cool improvement in the app that makes navigating between teams much easier. You can now tap on an opponent's name and be brought straight to their home screen.

Make sure you are on the latest iOS update (Android coming).
