What do the Gold Stars ⭐ mean next to player names?

I couldn't find anything that states what year mean. We're watching the ISU & Nebraska club softball teams.

Did they just add the ⭐ when they entered their name, or doesn't actually have a designation in the app?

I had to reset my console 5 times in the last week, and connectivity is spotty.

Is there something going on with the app or servers? I'm having 3 separate issues and it's really frustrating.

I keep having issues with the console software such as overlay of the battery and mileage (lower right in image).

The radio didn't have any sound this morning. I thought it was the HD setting but it wouldn't turn it off for some reason. This has happened before, but adding to the frustration of everything else.

Now my app won't connect to the truck, and I keep getting connection errors in the app. It isn't loading the temps or location. It's sitting 30ft away in the driveway.

There hasn't been an OTA update in 2 months, and the app is a month out from it's last update.

Searching/Queries of the box scores or game writeup would be great.

Trying to find specific situations, outcomes, or plays is very tedious.

As much as people use/depend on this for game records, it would be great to use it in a MUCH more powerful manner.

Box scores only tell part of the story. Being able to query situations or even the post game write up would be useful.

Using an AI agent to do this would be great. There are so many places AI doesn't need to be, but this would be one I would get behind.

What is Adelante living like?

My nephew just accepted a spot in Adelante, and he's excited for it. My son is also graduating next year, and they are considering living together at Adelante.

I saw it was recently renovated. The only video goir they have was from 6 years ago.

What did they renovate, and what is it like living there?

Thanks for any insights!

What do you use for a radar detector, and how do you mount/power it? (2025, R1T, 2nd Gen)

I want to mount a radar detector after a recent "fastest driver award", but there are not any good powered outlets/ports in the front of the R1T, or under the dash (unless I missed something).

What are some ways to run power to a radar detector?

Random slowdowns when in UHF on highway after newest uodate

After the most recent update (which fixed the missing UHF issue) I now have random slowdowns while driving. I get no alerts, "ghost vehicles", curve lines, or any other indication of why it would slow.

It has happened when no one is around, and in traffic. This is happening on open stretches of roads where I had no issues before, and have driven dozens of times in UHF.

I generally slow down 2-5 MPH from 70-75 MPH for a few seconds, then go back to normal. Driver's behind me think I'm brake checking them, and have let me know their frustrations.

I think whatever they fixed introduced a new bug, or sensor issue.

Robot vacuum attachment that hooks up to whole house vacuum system

Our robot vacuum is always busy cleaning dog hair so we have to empty our bag very often.

Our house has a whole house vacuum system (which isn't super common anymore, but it was for a time).

The idea would be a connection that would empty the robot vacuum into the whole house vacuum system rather than the robot vacuum bag.

One caveat I see is the high suction of the robot vac to remove it from the robot, I don't think the house vac can match so there could be an intermediate canister where the robot vac empties into, then the house vac would empty afterwards.

Not a billion dollar idea, but one of the frustrations I hear. Most about the robot vacuums is emptying the bag. :)

Day 4 of my Autonomous+ Not working

I purchased the Autonomy+ upgrade a few months ago, and it's been working fine.

4 days ago, while I was using it on a 2 lane highway, it just blinked off and told me to take control of the wheel. Fine, it's done that before. I've had it come back, and sometimes had to do a power cycle next time I stopped.

This time it hasn't come back at all. I've toggled the "precise location" button I saw someone mention, I've done a full power cycle, I've driven on 2 &4 lane highways that have had no issues before. The weather is clear, and no other dash/sensor warnings.

WTF is going on with this? Lovely to spend $2,500 on something that's going to be intermittent. There should be a refund for every day this "upgrade" is unusable.

Someone backed into my R1T 🤬, punched in one of my tow hooks, and cracked the plate. Is this an easy fix for me to do?

Gear Guard caught nothing, which is annoying. No sensors or cameras have errors, and nothing else is damaged, so it seems like it's a very minor incident.

I would love to just fix this myself, it looks fairly straightforward. The tow hook got pushed back into the bumper, but I can reach in and wiggle it. I wanted to get some options before I dug in.

Thanks.

Story Corps still archived at Library of Congress?

Unfortunately, I think I already know the answer to this...

This morning I heard A Martinez do his closing line for the "Brightness in Black" series and noticed he didn't say the story would be archived at the Library of Congress.

I am assuming after this administration pulled funding they may have also stopped archiving this. If that's so, what else are they failing to archive? I liken it to the burning of the Library at Alexandria for the loss of cultural information.

Important date in ISU History (Missed it yesterday 😬)

From the Ames History Museum FB page:

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DPTYTFhXN/

Today in Ames history: On May 6, 1970, more than 4,000 students and community members marched from campus to downtown Ames to protest the draft, American involvement in Cambodia as part of the Vietnam War, and the shooting at Kent State University.

Participants disrupted ROTC drills on campus, sang protest songs at the Armory building, blocked traffic on Lincoln Way, and protested at the Story County Selective Service Board office in downtown Ames. The following day, 24 demonstrators were arrested during a sit-in at the Selective Service office.

Local protestors also added an entry called "March for Concern" to that year's VEISHEA parade on May 9, which was followed by another 2,000-person rally on Central Campus.

This photo shows protestors blocking traffic at Lincoln Way and Beach Avenue on May 6, 1970.

The March for Concern and other local marches are featured in the "Unfinished Revolutions" section of our current exhibit, "We the People of Ames: A USA 250 Exhibit." The museum is open Tue-Sat, 10am-4pm.

I filled my washer fluid up and notice it spouting out of the orifice by my front camera. Literally looking like it was pissing on my driveway. By the evening it was all but drained out.

The AI maintenance tool is not working so I can't even schedule a repair yet. That's bit frustrating as well.

Looking for a rectangular fire table dining set for 6, preferably natural gas convertible. I know I'll probably get dragged for the specificity. My wife is not picky about anything, but would really like to finally have a nice patio set.

We've found some, but nothing is NG convertible, and maybe that's not a realistic expectation on our part. We don't have an easy way to fill propane. We hooked our Blackstone to NG and it's been a dream, so we'd like to do that with a fire table.

What we're looking for:

- Rectangular, dining-height (standard height) fire table

- Seats 6 comfortably (family of 6)

- Fire feature in the center (any style)

- Natural gas convertible is a big priority

- Bench or chairs

Budget: Open to hearing options across price points — happy to spend more for quality, but would love to know what's actually worth it vs. what's overpriced.

We're in the Midwest, so it needs to hold up to real winters when covered and left outside.

Brand recs, specific models, or even where you would shop would be helpful. Thanks!

Hey, I'm working with young kids on sliding drills for softball/baseball and trying to find a strong card board box to use for drills.

Regular boxes work okay, but get beat up really fast. Looking for a slightly more durable solution to try. Sliding mats are $100-$200, so looking for a MUCH cheaper option :)

DM me. I can pick it up just about anywhere.
